QQRONA software demonstration

Below are a few videos demonstrating some of QQRONA’s basic capabilities, using highly simplified examples from the natural world.
Note that the models shown, comprising only a handful of Qcells, are intended to show the possibilities of QQRONA, not present any realistic model of the subject matter. If you work with c elegans or e coli, or any other natural elements you need to model, and are interested in using QQRONA to build more realistic representations of their behaviours, please contact us.
Demo 1: QQRONA basics: simplified worm movement on petri dish

A very simple QQRONA model runs in conjunction with one of QQRONA’s standard output visualisations to generate the movements of a simple organism contained within a petri dish and obstructed by an obstacle.
Demo 2: neuron generating and propagating an action potential
A simple QQRONA model simulates the characteristic behaviour of a neuron producing an action potential. The video also explores how this simple model is used as the building block for creating more complex neural models, up to the scale of a full organism.

Demo 3: Chemotaxis example, introducing fixed duration experiments

With neither nose nor brain, the single celled bacterium e coli can sense and navigate towards a source of food. This video shows how QQRONA can model the sub-cellular components, including kinases and enzymes, responsible for this search function.
Demo 4: Motor neurons and motor unit recruitment
Using muscle control circuits as an example, this video shows how Qqrona can be easily integrated with an animation display to create a real-time, interactive model to demonstrate some of the complexities of living organisms.

Demo 5: QQRONASynth Toolkit (QST) - Basics
An introduction to some of QST's basic features. It uses the example of generating, and modulating, two common signal types, the square wave and the sine wave. The video also demonstrates how models may be controlled and changed in real time using the circuit vue.
